When I Got My First Chessboard
I was about nine years old I first got my first chess set. Since then I have purchased multiple chess sets, including ones that are metal, glass, and wood. There a lot of different varieties of chess sets available, so getting your first one a little bit tricky. While you may be tempted to just go and grab one of the cheap ones, I highly recommend getting one that’s going to last you many years to come. There’s nothing worse than purchasing a bad chess set to just have to go buy another one in a few months. I usually look for ones are going to last me at least two years, and you can tell by the quality of build and the manufacturer. Whatever you do, I highly recommend you stay far away from cardboard and cheap wood boards. These are typically constructed of varied at materials, that will only last you a couple of months.
